Panchakarma therapies are very effective in cleansing the body toxins and removing doshas which clears up any obstruction in the respiratory Channels.For Laringitis treatment the following therapies are recommended :

• Shastika Ahali Pinda Sweda – In this procedure, rice is cooked in kwatha & dugdha, patient affected area is massaged with pottalis. This procedure balances the kapha and pitta dosha.
• Patra Potali Pinda Sweda – heat or oil fry the leaves of the medicinal plant tied in a bolus to provide heat to the affected area of the body parts. Thus accumulated kapha removed from the body and also balances the vitiated vata dosha.
• Urobasti – medicated oil is retained on the chest wall which gives a positive influence on the heart chakra – this therapy nourishes, strengthens, balances heart function, and rejuvenates the heart. This procedure specially helps in all  respiratory tract problems.

In Ayurveda, there is an effective treatment for laryngitis.   Ayurveda provides different oral medication to cure laryngiti s by using many herbal powders, waters and pasts. Some of well known are – Cough powder, Cough go tablet, Kaphaketu rasa, Kantha sudharak vati, Amrit Tulsi Rasa.
